Choosing Wisely Wednesdays Return

Earlier this month, Choosing Wisely revived its weekly social media posts on Twitter and Facebook featuring how proponents of the campaign are using recommendations and other practices to reduce overuse in health care.
Choosing Wisely Snapshots (formerly Choosing Wisely Wednesdays) will highlight implementation stories every week based on what supporters want to share about their work.
From patient outreach to clinical education, scorecards, new workflows and integrating Choosing Wisely materials into electronic health records, we want to provide insights and lessons learned that are drawn from initiatives Choosing Wisely proponents have put in place. So far this month, we have posted about a case study on blood transfusion reductions by MD Anderson Cancer Center, palliative care plans by members of the eBright Health ACO in Delaware state, and a Choosing Wisely Learning Network webinar on clinical decision supports.
If you are interested in sharing your organization’s Choosing Wisely story, please complete our online form.
Those who complete the survey are eligible to receive 200 free wallet cards of “5 QUESTIONS to Ask Your Doctor Before You Get Any Test, Treatment, or Procedure.”
Please email kcarmody@abim.org with any questions.
