New Choosing Wisely Lists
It’s been four years since Choosing Wisely launched and the campaign continues to grow. In February:
- The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine added another five items to its list of Things Physicians and Patients Should Question, bringing its total number of recommendations to 10.
- The HIV Medicine Association released its first list of Five Things Physicians and Patients Should Question.

As a result of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine’s new list, Consumer Reports just published a two-page patient-friendly brochure called Blood Tests to Show your Risk for Miscarriage: When they can help, and when they don’t (pdf).
