Two New Choosing Wisely lists

The number of Choosing Wisely recommendations continues to grow. This spring, a new society joined the campaign and a current society partner added to its lists. To date, there are more than 565 Choosing Wisely recommendations.
A new partner in the campaign, the American Society for Apheresis released Five Things Physicians and Patients Should Question around blood and plasma donations, including recommendations on coagulation tests and central venous catheters.
The American Academy of Nursing added five more recommendations to its Choosing Wisely list, bringing its total recommendations to 25. The new recommendations address continuous cardiac-respiratory monitoring for children, the use of physical and chemical restraints for patients with dementia and additional tests and procedures patients and physicians should question.
